The iOS app FocusShare, developed by Jonas Vetsch ("we," "our," or "us"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your data when you use our app.2. Information We Collect2.1 Personal Data
FocusShare is designed to function without collecting any personally identifiable information.
- User ID: Each user receives a randomly generated, anonymous ID used to share and follow focus status. This ID is not linked to your name, contact info, or device ID.
- Email: If you contact us directly via email (e.g. for support or feedback), we store your email address only for the purpose of replying.2.2 Usage Data
Apart from storing your current focus status (in focus / not in focus) linked to your anonymous user ID (example: Squirrel23) we do not collect any usage data within the app or on the cloud. Your focus status is stored in the cloud, but never linked to identifiable personal information.2.3 Location Data
We do not collect or use location data.2.4 Purchase History
FocusShare currently does not offer in-app purchases. If that changes in the future, this section will be updated accordingly.3. How We Use Your Information3.1 Communication
If you reach out to us via email, we may use your contact details solely to respond to your questions, suggestions, or support requests or to store the conversation temporarily in order to respond later.4. Sharing Your Information4.1 Third-Party Services
We do not share your data with third parties.
FocusShare does not use analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or other tracking services.4.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests.5. Data Security
FocusShare is built with privacy in mind. While we apply reasonable measures to protect your data, no system can guarantee complete security. Your anonymous user ID is not tied to any personal information.6. Your Rights6.1 Access and Correction
Since we don’t store identifiable personal data, there's nothing to access or correct. If you've emailed us directly, you're welcome to request that we delete that communication.6.2 Deletion
If you wish to delete any data associated with your use of FocusShare (such as your anonymous ID in our database), contact us via email and specifying your user ID.7. International Data Transfers
If you choose to share your focus status, the associated data (anonymous) may be stored on Firebase servers, which may be located outside your country. These are managed by Google and comply with applicable data protection regulations.8. Children's Privacy
FocusShare is not intended for children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under this age. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it.9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
